Simonetta Lecter (née Sforza), also referred to as Mother Lecter,[1] is a character in Hannibal Rising. She is the wife of Count Lecter and the mother to Hannibal Lecter and his younger sister Mischa Lecter. Simonetta was a caring, compassionate mother that loved her children deeply, and was unfortunately taken from them due to a tragic incident.
Simonetta, along with her husband, died during a German attack on a Soviet tank outside their lodge. Her daughter was later cannibalized by Vladis Grutas and several others, with her son growing up to be an infamous serial killer.
