The Observatory is a place where Miriam Lass's arm was found with a message: "What do you see?", left from The Chesapeake Ripper in order to humiliate Jack Crawford.
When Abel Gideon escaped, he took Freddie Lounds and his former keeper, Dr. Chilton to the observatory where he "operated" on him under local anestethic all in order to draw the attention of The Ripper.
A suspect mounted the body of Beverly Katz an art piece on the upper floor of the observatory. It was found by Freddie Lounds.
The David Dunlap Observatory is located in Richmond Hill Ontario, and houses Canada's largest optical telescope.
