Theresa Marlow appeared in Apéritif. She was the first victim of Francis Dolarhyde (unnamed at the time) described by Will Graham in a lecture. After the killer entered through a home invasion, he shot her husband, Thomas Marlow, to death quickly to get him out of the way. Afterwards, he shot Theresa as well, careful not to hit any place immediately fatal. It's unclear exactly how Mrs. Marlow died, but Will's lecture suggests that the killer took his time to make her suffer first, hence the way he shot her just to incapacitate her.
